Aung Htoo Death, Omaha, NE Obituary – Teen Killed, Another Critically Injured in Early Morning Omaha Shooting Under Investigation

Omaha Police have confirmed the identity of the victim killed in an early Wednesday morning shooting as 17-year-old Aung Htoo. A second victim, 18-year-old Manish Gurung, remains hospitalized in critical condition as investigators continue working to determine what led to the violent incident.

According to the Omaha Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after 1:00 a.m. to the area of 48th and Nicholas Street following reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they located two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities stated that Aung Htoo was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. Emergency responders transported Manish Gurung to the Nebraska Medical Center, where he is currently receiving treatment for life-threatening injuries.
